Furgonato

This is our Van Pepe! We spent a year converting a craftsman's van into a self-sufficient beach-boho expedition vehicle with great attention to detail. Pepe is a Fiat Ducato L3H2 built in 2008 with a 160 hp and very reliable diesel engine.

There are 3 sleeping berths in total. A cosy double bed (140 x 180 cm) and a convertible seating area (75 x 170 cm). Perfect for a small family! :) The cooking area is a comfortable height and is great for cooking for two. There is a gas cooker with two hobs and a large washbasin with pull-out tap. We have installed a pressure pump, so you have the same water pressure as at home. Thanks to the 94 litre fresh water tank and 60 litre waste water tank, you are well supplied for several days without any problems. There is also an outdoor shower at the rear garage. Under the seating area there is also a dry separate toilet from Kildwick with a cosy toilet seat. If you are travelling to cold destinations, you won't get cold thanks to our 2 kW diesel parking heater from Planar. Like all conversions, this has of course been approved and registered by the TÜV. For your safety, we have also installed a carbon monoxide and smoke detector next to the bed.

Cutlery, four beautiful ceramic plates, two pans, a pot and a kettle are of course included in the hire price. The gas for cooking is also included in the price! :) Two stylish wooden director's chairs and a wooden table to cosy up at.

This is a large toploader cool box, which is conveniently hidden under the sink and can be pulled out. This can of course be operated continuously thanks to the self-sufficient power set-up.

Thanks to the wall cupboards, the alcove, the boxes under the seating area, the large cupboard next to the seating area and the spacious rear garage with pull-out Euro boxes, there is plenty of storage space for your clothes! :)

The van also has 230 volt sockets with sine wave, just like at home. Devices up to 1000 watts can be operated here and mobile phone and laptop batteries can be charged without any problems. With the 2x190 watt solar panels on the roof and the 150 Ah lithium battery, you have enough power reserve to be completely self-sufficient when travelling. If you are travelling to campsites, there is a shore power socket on the outside. Both the shore power socket and the 230 V outlet are protected by earth leakage circuit breakers, just like at home.

And now for the highlight of Pepe: the roof terrace. The rear ladder takes you up to our roof terrace made of WPC decking boards, which can accommodate at least 2 people. We were able to enjoy unforgettable views from here during our trip to Europe.

Pepe is a self-built motorhome, so not everything looks perfect. However, we felt right at home during our trip to Europe. We deliberately didn't convert it like most run-of-the-mill motorhomes and we still love it today. There are no technical faults and Pepe has always been a loyal travel companion.

We rent out our vehicle so that Pepe can see as much of the world as possible and our travel funds are replenished :D We have calculated the price this way because you can travel self-sufficiently with Pepe. So you are completely independent of overpriced campsites! :D
