We are OceanCamper®, a little campervan rental in Faro!

Vagabond OceanCamper® Van:  a cosy mini-camper that offers you all the comfort of good sleeping, cooking, and outdoor shower, and is super handy to drive! 

This is a Renault Kangoo Maxi  (long version) with two seats in the front and a complete set of camping equipment. A bed with a comfortable mattress (190x140) is located in the back of the van. Below the bed, there is a kitchen drawer, water deposit, and sufficient space for your luggage, surfboard, and camping equipment provided by me. If you need, you can transport surfboards on the rooftop bars. There is a small roof window at the top of the car with a mosquito net, providing you with fresh air while sleeping. Additionally to the general illumination, there are cozy lights located around the bed that provide a comfortable atmosphere in the evening when it's dark. During the check-in, I will provide you with tips and information about camping, surfing beaches, and must-see places.

Please choose as check-in time 14:00 and check-out time 12:00 when sending the request. The regular check-in time is 15:00. Only in case, there is no previous booking, we can provide you the car more early. We will inform you about this possibility one day before your arrival.

A late check-in after 18h00 (self-check-in) is possible and costs extra 15€ > you pick up your van by yourself at the airport or Faro city. (Note: airport self-check-in adds an extra payment of 6€ for the airport parking).

A later check-out than 11:00 is only possible if there are no other bookings on your car for the same day. One day before your check-out date we would be able to tell you if it is possible to make a late check-out. There would be no extra costs for this.

These options are available as long as stocks last. Therefore, tell me in advance and I will reserve your items for you.

OUR REQUISITES:

1) The driver must hold the driving license for at least 3 years at the moment of arrival. Drivers holding less than 3 years the driving license can book this campervan with the condition of taking extra insurance (Advanced insurance, more information below).

2) Be a responsible & careful driver.

3) Practice sustainable camping, leaving NO waste in nature.

INSURANCES OPTIONS:

-> BASIC (included for free): You pay max. 1500€ in case of damage to the vehicle. One driver is permitted. Damages to glass and tires are not covered. Driver must hold at least 3 years the driving license. 200km/night

-> ADVANCED (15€/night): You pay max. 400€ in case of damage to the vehicle. Damages to glass and tires are 100% covered. Two drivers are permitted. Driver must hold at least 1 year the driving license. 300km/night

-> COMPLETE (29€/night): You pay max. 100€ in case of damage to the vehicle. Damages to glass and tires are 100% covered. One driver is permitted. Driver must hold 3 years of driving license. Unlimited km.

********************************************************************************************** OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

1) DIESEL: You will receive the van with a full diesel and water tank. If the diesel tank is not full at your check out, I must deduct the fuel costs and an additional service fee of 20€ from your security deposit.

2) CHECK-IN times: 15:00-18:00 (3-6 pm). I will pick you up at the airport or Faro city. Early check-in is possible for free, upon request if the campervan is available. We can confirm it the day before your arrival. Late check-in after 18:00 (6 pm) is possible, upon request, for 25€, in this case security deposit needs to be transferred by bank transfer 3 days before your arrival.

3) CHECK-OUT times: from 09:00 until 11:00 (11 am). After check-out, I will drop you off at the airport or Faro city. Late check-out is possible upon request for free, upon request if the campervan is available.

4) PAID HIGHWAYS: In Portugal, all highways are paid. The car has an electronic payment system that registers tolls that apply if you use Portuguese highways. In case you use these highways, you will pay the fees of what you drove with VAT (23%) plus a one-time activation fee of 15€. If you want to avoid driving on highways, there is always an alternative road for free. I can tell you about this during the check-in.
