We chose this van because it perfectly combines our desire for adventure with a minimum of comfort.

This Renault Trafic (L2H1 – 2015) is discreet, easy to drive, and above all very well designed for sleeping, relaxing, and simply enjoying the moment. Inside there’s a real bed (140x190) with a good click-clack-style mattress that unfolds in two minutes; otherwise it stays in bench mode. When it rains or we want some quiet time, we set up the small table to eat or read a book. There’s lighting, a few power outlets, and plenty of storage (under the bed, at the rear, and on the shelf). There’s a water point (10 L fresh water tank and 10 L grey water tank), but no built-in kitchen—we chose to cook outside on a small stove to keep the space simple and airy. We also provide a table and chairs for meals in nature. For showers, we offer as an extra the Decathlon solar shower, which is very effective! Just hang the curtain at the back, take out the wooden slats, and you’re ready for a shower in nature (with black soap or biodegradable soap only, of course :)). As an option, you can also rent very practical dry toilets (thanks, Decathlon).

It’s not a rolling palace, but it’s a cozy cocoon that has allowed us to experience precious, peaceful, no-frills moments. If you’re looking for a simple, functional, and reassuring van for a few days or longer, Mani will be happy to share part of the road with you. 🌿
